Cherie Booth QC's visit to Liverpool

Cherie Booth QC was the guest speaker of the Conkerton Memorial Lecture hosted by Liverpool Law Society at the Town Hall on 12 October 2006. Her speech, which dealt with human rights in an international perspective, was followed by the opening of the legal year. Welcome speeches were given by the Lord Mayor, the President of the Liverpool Law Society, Helen Broughton and Michael Redfern, QC, Leader of the Northern Circuit. Miss Booth was presented with a copy of HH David Lynch's Northern Circuit Directory, together with Liverpool Law Society's 'A Century of Liverpool Lawyers'.
