Circuit sadly announces the death of HH Donald Hart QC
The Circuit announces with regret the death of His Honour Donald Hart QC on 24 April 2007 aged 74. The funeral will take place at St Mary’s Church Bowdon on Thurday 3 May at 2.00pm. The Recorder of Manchester has directed that a eulogy will take place in Court 4, Crown Square, Manchester the following morning at 10.00am.
Donald was called to the Bar in 1956. His practice was in Manchester in chambers which eventually became 18 St John Street. He took Silk in 1978 and was appointed a Circuit Judge in 1989 sitting in Liverpool until his retirement in 1998. He was the Designated Family Judge for Merseyside and sat on the Mental Health Review Tribunal for 17 years.
