Gerard McDermott QC is to establish an International Committee for the Circuit.  Gerard has been involved in International Affairs for many years and will be looking to foster relations with one or two jurisdictions overseas in addition to organising educational programmes.

The International Committee will hold its inaugural meeting at 9 St John Street Chambers on Thursday 2 February 2012.  If you would like to become involved in this group, please email Susan Chisholme or Holly-Ann Shaw.

The 2010/11 Queen’s Counsel Competition Awards were announced on 01 March 2011.

Richard Pratt QC of 7 Harrington Street Chambers in Liverpool has been elected as the next Leader of the Northern Circuit.  His three year term of office will commence on 01 January 2011.
