European Circuit of the Bar of England and Wales

Annual Conference - Rome 19-21 October 2006

The current Treasurer of the Northern Circuit, Gerard McDermott, QC has recenly been appointed as Leader of the European Circuit of the Bar of England and Wales. At present, he is organising their Annual Conference which will take place in Rome during October.

Gerard extends the invitation to attend the Rome Conference to all Northern Circuiteers:

"Following on from the success of last year's Madrid Conference, I am delighted to invite Northern Circuiteers to Rome this October for the European Circuit's 2006 Annual Conference. True to the Circuit's objectives, the Annual Conference will bring together barristers practising European law and those working in Europe, as well as international lawyers with a connection to the UK and Europe. The Conference is accredited for 8.5 CPD hours.

"With few areas of law unaffected by European influence and a growth in cross-border practices, delegates will have the opportunity to gain insight into a range of issues impacting on their work, as well as to network informally with fellow practitioners. For those Northern Circuiteers who are not yet members, I would strongly encourage you to join the European Circuit and benefit from attending the Rome Conference at the discounted rates. The membership subscription is very reasonably priced at £25 p.a. (and only £5 p.a. for those in the first three years of call)."
