APPOINTMENTS TO HIGH JUDICIAL OFFICE 2016-2020:

The Queen has been pleased to approve the following appointments: 

  1. The Rt Hon the Baroness Hale of Richmond as President of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom upon the retirement of The Rt Hon Lord Neuberger of Abbotsbury in September 2017
  2. Mr Justice Holroyde as a Lord Justice of Appeal from Autumn 2017
  3. Upper Tribunal Judge Frances Gwynneth Knowles QC to be a Justice of the High Court with effect from 2nd October 2017, assigned to the Family Division
  4. Mrs Amanda Louise Yip QC to be a Justice of the High Court with effect from 2nd October 2017, assigned to the Queen's Bench Division
  5. Her Honour Judge Jane Clare Moulder to be a Justice of the High Court with effect from 2nd October 2017, assigned to the Queen's Bench Division 
  6. His Honour Mr Justice Edis to be a Presiding Judge appointed to the South Eastern Circuit with effect from 1st January 2018.
  7. His Honour Judge David Waksman QC to be a Justice of the High Court with effect from 1st October 2018, assigned to the Queen’s Bench Division.
  8. Mr Clive Freedman QC to be a Justice of the High Court with effect from 22nd October 2018, assigned to the Queen’s Bench Division.
  9. Mr Nigel Poole QC to be a Justice of the High Court with effect from 1st October 2020, assigned to the Family Division.
